When was the last time you truly went outside – not to get somewhere, but just to be somewhere?
Come Back To Your Roots
Walking is one of the simplest and most underrated forms of slow living. No destination needed. Just you, the path and whatever nature decides to show you that day. And while this might sound a little funny but have you ever hugged a tree? I mean it. There is actual research behind the idea that connecting with trees, with soil, with the earth beneath your feet, has a calming effect on our nervous system. It grounds you. It reminds you that you are part of something much bigger and much older than your to-do list.
Try walking barefoot on the grass sometime. Feel the ground beneath you. Breathe in the air around you. Let yourself just be there, fully present, without your phone in your hand. In a world that is constantly pulling us upward and online, sometimes the most radical thing you can do is go back to the ground.

Between The Seasons
Nature does not rush from one season to the next and neither should we. Each season carries its own energy, its own invitation and its own kind of beauty. When you start paying attention to the rhythm of the year, something shifts. Life starts to feel less like a race and more like a cycle.
The Season of Beginning:
In spring everything wakes up. The light comes back slowly, flowers push through the soil and the air starts to smell like possibility. Spring is for new intentions, fresh starts and allowing yourself to come out of hibernation at your own pace. Go outside and look for the first flowers. Open your windows. Let the new air in.
The Season of Yang Energy:
Long days, warm evenings and the feeling that time moves differently. Summer is for living fully, being present and soaking in the light while it lasts. It is also the season that reminds us to rest because even the sun sets. Walk barefoot on warm grass. Eat outside. Stay up late for the golden hour.
The Season of Letting Go:
In Autumn the trees do something remarkable in autumn, they let go of what no longer serves them, beautifully and without resistance. Autumn is for releasing, for slowing down and for finding comfort in the cosiness of shorter days. Light a candle. Make a warm cup of tea. Let something go.
The Season of Yin Energy:
Winter is not empty – it is full of quiet. Full of rest, reflection and the deep kind of stillness that prepares everything for what comes next. We are not meant to be productive all year. Even the earth takes a break. This is the moment to plant your seeds and to see them bloom in the spring. Be gentle with yourself. Rest without guilt. Trust that spring always comes back.
